The 45 largest public listed companies of Indonesia, components of the LQ45 index, are major actors in the economy of Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and the world. With a short presentation of each company, its sector, and logo, this following list provides useful information and links to the company’s website and its stock quote.
List of the 45 components of the LQ45 index
Companies in Indonesia have to be registered as “Perseroan Terbatas – PT” (meaning “private limited”) to be able to receive foreign investments. Additionally, if a company becomes publicly listed, it will be appended as “Terbuka”, abbreviated Tbk (meaning “open”), to cope with the regulations of the Indonesia Stock Exchange – IDX.
A member of the ASEAN Exchanges, the IDX aggregates several indices to benchmark the Indonesian stock market and facilitate trading and evaluation. These indices notably include the Jakarta Composite Index – JCI that aggregates all stocks of Indonesia, the LQ45 index, a capitalization-weighted index calculated from the top 45 listed companies, as well as other general indices, or indices by sector.
For the latest rankings, check the top companies of Indonesia and many more, including US companies, UK companies, Canadian companies, and Australian companies on the Disfold data platform.
The LQ45 index
The real-time quotation of the LQ45 index – can be followed from the Indonesia Stock Exchange’s website and also through the convenient graphical tools from financial information websites. The ASEAN Exchanges does provide some information on the Indonesian market, through the quota of the JCI index.
